Hallmarking

Each of our pieces of jewellery are Hallmarked by the London Assay Office, part of the Goldsmiths’ Company, in London to provide assurance that our pieces are 100% what we say they are.

The Assay Office tests and marks our work with a set of five marks; makers mark, metal fineness mark (emblem and number), Leopard for London Office and lastly the year letter with 2021 being W.

Hallmarking dates back to the 13th century and was implemented to ensure jewellers and silversmiths were using the correct quality of silver and gold alloys.
